Catching my breath

2:30 in the morning I awoke to a nice deep yawn.  A minute later, another yawn.  It kept happening.  Kind of weird to be in a deep sleep and need to yawn.  Soon I was needing to take a deep breath to get that satisfying feeling but couldn't get it.  I sat up and tried, ahhh success.  As I lied back down I noticed I was breathing very shallow.  What the heck was happening??  Thankfully my heroic paramedic was home so I woke him up. "Honey? Are you awake?  I'm having trouble breathing."  That got him up pretty quickly.  Next, I did what anyone in their right mind would do in the middle of the night and I got on the trusty internet.  I'm pretty close to obtaining my MD with all the hours I spend researching.  I just need to find a way to write prescriptions because I have the self diagnosing part all figured out.  I think what is happening is related to the mitochondrial myopathy I have.  You can read more about that HERE.  I could always call the doctor in the morning but 1) They won't know and 2) I finally have a hair cut appointment.  Not canceling that.  It is now 2 hours later, 4:30 in the morning.  I'm too afraid to fall  back to sleep.  So I pray.  And I pray.  I pray hard because He is in control and He will take care of everything.  For that I am thankful.  Speaking of Thankful....

It's Thursday so lets be Thankful!!!
Here's what I am thankful for:

My husband.  He mopped the floors today yesterday and cooked dinner. That's all I need to say.
Actually, I have more to say about him.
He is a great father!

I am thankful for his love
I am thankful for his abilities
I am thankful for the man that he is

What are you thankful for today?

  4. I'm a new follower and i've enjoyed reading your posts! I'm having trouble breathing too, but that's because i'm almost 39 weeks pregnant and baby is taking up a whole lotta room in there. I hope the shallow breathing subsides and you're back to normal soon! Prayer is the best way to go... He's always got it under control. =)
